Plastic Fantastic

This week on Miss Walker, we are all about fun and like the amazing prints that I posted about yesterday, transparent accessories were a hit on the runway for S/S13.
There are so many shapes and sizes available as well as colours and finishes, from hot studs to laser cut edges, this trend is looking like a 'clear' winner when it comes to the style stakes!

Perfect Prints

While digital florals have been around for a couple of years now and brands like Zara have made them highly accessible to the savvy shopper, they don't seem to be disappearing from the runways anytime soon.
I love them for their sophisticated fun...let's face it some of them are incredibly stunning.
The update in 2013 will be the dripping floral, which see's designers implementing a running paint effect to their designs...still as chic, still as fun...get ahead of the pack and check out Preen's Resort Collection S/S13.

Designer Crush: Malene Birger

Danish Designer Malene Birger goes from strength to strength, season upon season, and what I love about her work is that there is something for everyone.
The Design House, in its tenth year, S/S13 collection is no exception and is available here.
Coveting it all!

Geometric Tendancies

Geometric designs have been influencing interior decor and styling for sometime now and it doesn't look like it will wear off anytime soon.
We are seeing industry leaders continuing strong geometric and origami patterns throughout their work, giving spaces a very contemporary feel and what I love about this trend is there are so many inexpensive ways to introduce it to your space with simple DIY projects everywhere online.
I've added the gorgeous Babushka Dolls below to my wish list!
